The Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts would like to inform the public that the Vihara and the Attharasa Buddha Statue located in Phnum village, Phsar Daek commune, Ponhea Lueu district, Kandal province temporarily open its doors for public viewing for a period of two weeks, from April 13 to 27, 2026

The Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts would like to inform the public that, through cooperation between the Ministry and various philanthropists, the Ministry completed the restoration of the Vihara and the Attharasa Buddha Statue located in Phnum village, Phsar Daek commune, Ponhea Lueu district, Kandal province, in 2025. In order to strengthen the conservation and maintenance of the ancient Vihara and Buddha statues, as well as to expand public education and promotion of this invaluable national heritage, the Ministry has transformed this former Vihara into a museum to display significant antiquities recovered from the stupas and the surrounding area of the former Oudong City for public viewing and research in the future. Regarding the official opening date for permanent public access, the Ministry will provide further notification once all exhibition arrangements are fully completed.

On the occasion of the upcoming Khmer Traditional New Year, the Ministry has decided to temporarily open its doors for public viewing for a period of two weeks, from April 13 to 27, 2026.
