Religious Ceremony to Chant Blessings of Prosperity and Success for the Leaders and Civil Servants of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts on the Occasion of the Khmer Traditional New Year, Year of the Horse, Atthsak, B.E 2570

On the afternoon of Thursday, April 9, 2026, the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts invited Buddhist monks to conduct a blessing ceremony to wish for prosperity and success for the Ministry’s leaders and civil servants on the occasion of the Khmer Traditional New Year, Year of the Horse, Atthsak, Buddhist Era 2570. The ceremony was presided over by H.E. Hab Touch, Acting Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, with the participation of Excellencies, Lok Chumteavs, and numerous leaders and civil servants of all levels under the Ministry.

The program was celebrated according to noble Buddhist traditions, including the offering of candles, incense, flowers, and various sacred items to the Triple Gem. Five monks were invited to chant the Parittas, recite the Jayanto (Victory) and Buddha’s auspicious blessings, and sprinkle lustral water to bring happiness and good fortune to all leaders and civil servants of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, as well as to all Cambodian citizens.

During the ceremony, the Acting Minister, along with the leaders and civil servants, also enjoyed a performance of the Trot Dance (Robam Trot) to welcome the New Year.
