Lithuanian Foreign Minister Visits Tuol Sleng Museum
On April 25, 2026, at 3:00 PM, H.E. Kong Virak, Under Secretary of State of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, as high representative of Her Excellency Academician Dr. Minister, welcomed H.E. Kęstutis Budrys, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, at the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum.


Mr. Hang Nissai, Head of the Museum Office, briefed the Minister on the history of the Democratic Kampuchea regime, specifically the events that took place at the former S-21 security center, also known as Tuol Sleng Prison. During the visit, the Minister showed particular interest in the Khmer Rouge era archives, especially the photographic exhibitions.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Foreign Minister conversed with survivors, laid lotus flowers at the memorial stupa, and wrote in the Golden Book, expressing profound sorrow for the tragedies endured by the victims.
