On April 20, 2026, H.E. Som Sokun, Secretary of State and high representative of Her Excellency Academician Dr. Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, led a ministry delegation to the inauguration of the “Smile of Angkor” exhibition. The event was held at the Digital Arts Center (CPU) in Beijing, People’s Republic of China.

The “Smile of Angkor” exhibition was organized by X-Capital Cambodia, in collaboration with the Cambodia Friendship Cooperation Promotion Association and the Chinese AI firm 4U Technology, with official support from the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
The exhibition is based on the 13th-century records of Zhou Daguan regarding the “Customs of Cambodia” (Zhenla). Its purpose is to promote Cambodian arts, culture, traditions, and lifestyles—specifically the magnificence of the Angkor Heritage Site. By utilizing digital technology, the exhibition aims to raise awareness among the Chinese people and contribute to attracting a greater number of Chinese tourists to visit Cambodia.
