About Department
The Department of Copyright and Related Rights is the competent authority responsible for the administration and enforcement of copyright and related rights. Its main responsibilities include:
- Establishing communication and cooperation with national, regional, and international partners in the field of copyright and related rights
- Developing policies in the field of copyright and related rights in line with national and global developments
- Promoting and implementing copyright policies to encourage the protection of works and the creation of new cultural products
- Managing, coordinating, and strengthening the implementation of copyright and related rights laws
- Overseeing and coordinating activities with collective management organizations
- Providing legal and technical guidance on copyright and related rights
- Conducting research, education, and public awareness on copyright and related rights
- Registering copyrighted works and issuing licenses relevant to copyright and related rights
