Ancestral Vocational Skills Training Program2026
The Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts would like to inform the public that the Ministry will organize the Ancestral Vocational Skills Training Program free of charge for the year 2026, starting from this May onwards at 13 locations in 9 provinces such as Siem Reap, Kandal, Kampong Chhnang, Kampong Cham, Kampong Thom, Banteay Meanchey, Mondulkiri, Ratanakiri, and Preah Vihear. The skills to be trained include silk and cotton weaving, indigo-dyed krama weaving, embroidery, silver/copper carving, leather carving, indigenous textile weaving, Khmok Smach (lacquerware), Khmok Mrak (lacquerware), P’av mat weaving, pottery, molding, ceramics, and traditional painting.
For students from poor families holding equity cards and at-risk families, the Royal Government will provide a monthly allowance of 280,000 (two hundred and eighty thousand) Riels, provided that they properly fulfill the study requirements.
