This Thursday, March 26, 2026, H.E. Dr. Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, attended the official inauguration ceremony of the Andong Taséi Water Treatment Plant and the groundbreaking for a project to expand water infrastructure in five provinces. The ceremony was presided over by the high dignity of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
This new plant has the capacity to produce 6,800 cubic meters of clean water per day. These new water treatment facilities and infrastructures will enable the Svay Rieng Water Supply Authority to provide full clean water services to the entire population of Svay Rieng City. At the same time, the Royal Government announced the commencement of construction for water infrastructure expansion projects in five provinces—Svay Rieng, Pursat, Kampong Thom, Kampot, and Mondulkiri—which are national budget-financed projects with a total investment of 60 million US dollars.
