Minister of Culture and Fine Arts Leads the 6th Meeting of the 5th Mandate of the Board of Directors of the National Authority for Preah Vihear
Her Excellency Academician Dr. Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the National Authority for Preah Vihear, led the 6th meeting of the 5th Mandate of the Board of Directors to review the work progress of the World Heritage sites of Preah Vihear Temple and Koh Ker Temple.
This meeting was held at the Preah Vihear Meeting Hall, Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, on April 2, 2026, covering five key agendas:
- Report on the implementation of recommendations from the Board of Directors of the National Authority for Preah Vihear.
- Report on work performance results.
- Report on the impacts on Preah Vihear Temple from the armed conflict in 2025.
- Requests for approval.
- Other matters.
During this meeting, the Board of Directors of the National Authority for Preah Vihear supported the National Authority for Preah Vihear in implementing emergency intervention projects at high-risk locations of Preah Vihear Temple that suffered severe damage during the armed conflict in 2025, in order to prevent further damage during the upcoming rainy season.
