On the morning of Saturday, March 21, 2026, Her Excellency Academician Dr. Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, presided over the Krong Peali (groundbreaking) ceremony to officially commence the restoration of a French colonial-era building—the former provincial hotel—located within the Pursat Provincial Hall compound.
The ceremony was attended by H.E. Mak Ra, Chairman of the Provincial Council, and H.E. Khoy Rida, Governor of Pursat Province. Also in attendance were Her Excellency the leadership of the Ministry, as well as various directors of provincial departments and units.
