Her Excellency Academician Dr. Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, Visits and Inspects the Kuk Yeay Horm Temple Site

On March 31, 2026, Her Excellency Academician Dr. Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, accompanied by ministry leaders and technical officials from the Department of Culture and Fine Arts of Kampong Cham Province, visited to inspect the site of Kuk Yeay Horm Temple, located in Chres Village, Prey Chhor Commune, Kampong Cham Province. On that occasion, Her Excellency instructed technical officials to continue paying close attention to the restoration and preservation of statues, the temple structure, and the surrounding environment, and to organize and refine the Kuk Yeay Horm Temple site to have aesthetic beauty in order to respond to the work of conservation and development of cultural heritage, as well as to serve the tourism sector.

It should be noted that Kuk Yeay Horm Temple is a very old ancient temple located approximately 90 kilometers from Phnom Penh. The main tower of this temple is made entirely of pure sandstone and has entrance doors facing all four directions.
