On the morning of Thursday, March 26, 2026, H.E. Hab Touch, Permanent Secretary of State and representative of H.E. Dr. Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, presided over the opening ceremony of the introductory workshop on “Digital Documentation of Intangible Cultural Heritage.” The workshop was organized by the General Department of Cultural Techniques of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, with the participation of ministry leaders, directors-general, and representatives from the 25 Capital-Provincial Departments of Culture and Fine Arts and other relevant units, totaling 90 participants.

The primary objective of the workshop is to disseminate knowledge on documenting all intangible cultural information through digital formats—a new technological approach never before implemented in the registration of intangible cultural heritage in Cambodia. Furthermore, the implementation of this digital information gathering format aligns with the modernization goals within the Royal Government’s Pentagonal Strategy.
